The Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team is a New Hampshire not-for-profit
corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 entity. As such, all charitable donations are
tax-deductible.
PVSART receives no government financing and must raise all necessary funds to pay for
group equipment and training from donations, grants, and membership dues. Members pay
for their own gear, travel costs to rescues and searches, and time taken off from work. All
members are volunteers who donate their time and services free of charge.
If requested by NH Fish & Game, PVSART stands ready to help you or someone you know
at any time of the day or night, under any weather conditions, 365 days a year. To date
PVSART has undertaken 75 searches and rescues, averaging about 20 per year.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Funds are used to purchase group equipment and
training materials. Current needs include GPS units, climbing ropes, harnesses and helmets,
a lightweight litter wheel, and a large pop-up tent to shelter the team from wind, rain, and
snow as it stands and waits at the staging area for missions to start up.
Sponsor memberships to support the Team are available for $25.00 annually. Each sponsor
member receives a PVSART bumper sticker and is listed below.
